Biography
Was born in Annecy (France) in 1971. Studied in France (National Conservatory in Lyon, Musical Institute in Paris), then in Switzerland (Conservatory of Geneva) and in Russia (Conservatory of Saint-Petersburg, Ilya Moussin's classroom, who also taught Valeri Gergiev and Yuri Temirkanov). Trained in the Academy of Sibelius in Helsinki and in the Conservatory of Amsterdam. In 1996, after graduating from the conservatory, Emmanuel Leducq-Barome started his practice with Russian orchestras in Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Vladivostok, as well as with different orchestras in Ukraine, Baltic states, France. For three years he had been the principal conductor of Kaliningrad Philharmonic Orchestra. In January 2000 he became the musical director of Baltiñ Chamber Orchestra (chamber department of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra). Since then he has been working with the philharmonic orchestras of Saint-Petersburg and Moscow, also with the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Russian Federation, the National Orchestra of the Capitole (Toulouse, France), the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio-France, and the Philarmonic Orchestra of Nice. In addition, he is guest conductor of the Mussorgsky Opera House in Saint-Petersburg. Emmanuel Leducq-Barome performs at summer music festivals in France. He has worked with Pierre Amoyal, Arto Noras, Gerard Poulet, Regis Pasquier, Andre Cazalet, Nikolai Petrov, Denis Matsuev. In 2001 won the prize of the French Association of Art Communications (Assiciation Francaise d’Action Artistique) and Lavoisier scholarship. Leducq-Barome debuted in the US in June 2007 at the International Festival-Institute.
