Biography
Alexey Tikhomirov graduated from the Kazan State Conservatoire as an academic chorus conductor in 2003 and as a vocalist in 2006. In 2004–2006, he was a trainee at the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Singing Centre. Since 2005, he has been a soloist of the Helicon Opera in Moscow. Since 2010, he has been a guest soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre. Since 2015, he has been a soloist of the New Opera in Moscow.
Alexey Tikhomirov regularly performs in Russia and abroad. He has cooperated with Riccardo Muti, Zubin Mehta, Vladimir Fedoseyev, Mikhail Pletnev, Vladimir Spivakov, Mikhail Jurowsky, Vladimir Jurowsky, Dmitry Jurowsky, Gennady Dmitryak, Ilmar Lapinsch, Paulo Arrivabene, Michael Güttler, Kent Nagano, Konstantin Tchudovsky, Laurence Foster, Jan Latham-Koenig, Steven Sloane, Petrika Ionesco, Jean-Romain Vesperini, Mariusz Trelinski, Marcelo Lombardero, Paul Curran, Katharina Thalbach, and other conductors and directors.
At the Mikhailovsky Theatre, the singer has performed Gremin in Eugene Onegin, Vodník in Rusalka, and Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte.
