Maxim Mironov

Biography
Considered as one of the most interesting Rossini tenors of his generation, Maxim Mironov is highly recognized for his mellow timbre, filigree technique and bright artistic talent. Critics are as one: «Maxim Mironov nel ruolo di Dorvil si è confermato quel tenore rossiniano esperto che ben conosciamo, particolarmente portato al canto di coloratura con acuti e sopracuti particolarmente facili e sicuri» (OperaClick, 2013); «Mironov, in the extremely difficult role of Ermanno, was the star in this excellent cast» (Das Opernglas, 2012).
Maxim Mironov was born in Tula. He decided to start a vocal career having heard a concert of three tenors broadcasted from Paris in 1998. In 2000-2001, Maxim joined Vladimir Devyatov’s vocal school, class of Dmitri Vdovin (currently Deputy Opera Director of the Bolshoi Theatre, Director of the Youth Opera Program of the Bolshoi Theatre). An international recognition of Maxim Mironov is related exactly to the name of Dmitri Vdovin.
Years of intensive work with his teacher - at first at the Devyatov’s vocal school and then at the Gnesins College – gave a basic start to Maxim Mironov’s career, which led him in 2003, while working at the Helikon Opera Theatre of Moscow, to the 2nd Prize of the "Neue Stimmen" competition in Germany. Then followed his first international engagements and extremely successful performances.
In 2005 he joined prestigious Aññademia Rossiniana in Pesaro under the guidance of Alberto Zedda, where he performed a role of Conte di Libenskof in the youth festival production of Rossini’s Il viaggio a Reims. Next year he was invited to perform Lindoro’s part in L’Italiana in Algeri in the main festival program.
Maxim Mironov became a first Russian tenor who has ever been invited to participate in the Rossini Festival in Pesaro. For the first time he performed Lindoro in Aix-en-Provence, not long before Pesaro. Then he performed this part in many theatres all over the world; now this role is considered as one of the best in his repertoire.
He has performed with grandiose success on prestigious stages of the world including: Wienna Staatsoper, Teatro Real in Madrid, Paris Opera Garnier, Théatre de la Monnaie in Brussels, Las Palmas Opera, Vlaamse Opera in Antwerp, Teatro Comunale of Bologna, the San Carlo in Naples, Massimo of Palermo, Petruzzelli of Bari, Semperoper in Dresden, Hamburg Opera, Lausanne Opera, Opéra-Comique in Paris, The Theater an der Wien, famous theatres of Japan and the USA etc.
He has collaborated with leading conductors such as A.Zedda, D.Renzetti, B.Campanella, E.Pidò, V.Jurowski, M.Mariotti, C.Scimone, J.Lopez-Cobos, G.Carella, G.Noseda, J.Conlon, A.Fogliani and R.Frizza.
One of his brilliant artistic partners and friends is World’s opera star Olga Peretyatko, who also participated in the project of the National Opera Centre in 2013.
Maxim Mironov is a welcome participant at the leading opera festivals such as Festival of Aix en-Provence, Glyndebourne Festival and others. Engagements in 2014 include Rossini’s La Cenerentola in Wienna Staatsoper, Otello in Vlaamse Opera of Antwerp, L’Italiana in Algeri in the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theatre and Das Konzerthaus Dortmund, Il Barbiere di Seviglia in Hamburgische Staatsoper etc.
He has records on CD (Rossini’s La donna del lago/Naxos and L’Italiana in Algeri/Dynamic) and DVD (Gretry’s Pierre le Grand/performance by the Helikon Opera Theatre, Rossini’s Maometto secondo/Dynamic, La Cenerentola/Opus Arte and L’Italiana in Algeri/Bel Air Classiques and Dynamic).
