Maxim Lando
Biography
Maxim Lando made his New York City debut at the age of six on the critically acclaimed Jupiter Symphony Chamber Players series.
At age 11, Maxim entered the Juilliard Pre-College and became a Lang Lang Young Scholar, receiving mentorship from celebrity pianist Lang Lang and support from his International Foundation. Maxim currently studies at the Juilliard Pre-College with Hung-Kuan Chen and Tema Blackstone; he is also an Artemisia Akademie Fellow at Yale University.
Maxim Lando received national attention in 2017 at the age of fourteen when he appeared at Carnegie Hall alongside Lang Lang and Chick Corea.
Mr. Lando was invited to play at the grand opening of Steinway and Sons in Beijing, has collaborated with violinists Julian Rachlin and Daniel Hope on the Rising Stars Series in Munich, and has given solo and chamber music concerts at the National Center for Performing Arts in Beijing, Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris, Kissinger Sommer in Germany, Ravinia Festival in Chicago, Dinard International Music Festival in France and others.
He collaborates with world’s leading orchestras such as Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, Russian National Orchestra, Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra, Moscow Philharmonic, Israel Philharmonic and others.
In 2015 Maxim was awarded First Prize at the 16th International Television Contest for Young Musicians “Nutcracker” in Moscow, Russia and Second Prize at the Kissinger Klavier Olymp in Germany. Winner of the Gold Medal at the 2017 Berliner International Music Competition. In 2018, Mr. Lando won First Prize at the Young Concert Artists International Auditions in New York, as well as Special Prizes for performances for the Candlelight Concert Society, University of Florida Performing Arts, Tri-I Noon Recitals at Rockefeller University and Vancouver Recital Society.
